Maru is heavily inspired by the concept of Malwares and Computer Viruses.Her main concept is that she's a mischievous and energetic malware who acts as a digital companion, and can communicate and sing using the UTAU/OpenUTAU program.

  • Any usage must require credit where reasonable, listing Maru-ware Mokuba and its author as Project: Fatal Override. Linking back to the site is optional.

  • If you're hosting events focusing on Maru or featuring Maru as a character in concerts, please contact for permission.

  • If you want to use the Character and the Voicebank for commerical use outside of original songs, please contact for permission.

  • We are not accountable for any works that goes against our terms.

VOICEBANK TERMS

Terms exclusive to the Voicebank.

PROHIBITED

  • Sexually explicit content

  • Hate speech, politics, religion, or encouragement of any illicit activity

  • Derivative voicebank creation and distribution, this includes: ports to other Vocal Synthesizer programs (eg. Vocaloid, SynthV, DeepVocal, etc.), AI trained voicebanks (eg. RVC, Diffsinger, etc.), Fanloids, Genderbends

  • Using any files or generated audio from Maru Voicebanks for any kind of AI training

  • Unofficial redistribution (modified or not) and resales without permission

ALLOWED

  • Any non-commercial usage

  • Sensitive content in good taste (eg. abuse, suicide, drug usage, suggestive themes, mental health, etc.)

  • Selling original songs using the Voicebank to digital storefronts and streaming platform or in mass-produced physical CD

  • Editing the configuration files of the Voicebank as long as it isn't redistributed

Character TERMS

Terms exclusive to the Character's Design.

PROHIBITED

  • Sexually explicit content

  • Hate speech, politics, religion, or encouragement of any illicit activity

  • Derivative character creation (eg. Fanloids, Genderbends, etc.)

  • Unofficial mass-produced merch to be sold indefinitely

ALLOWED

  • Any non-commercial usage

  • Sensitive content in good taste (eg. abuse, suicide, drug usage, suggestive themes, mental health, etc.)

  • Fanart (eg. art, animation, 3D Models, etc.)

  • Cosplay

  • Different outfits, different coloration (changing of hair color, eye color, etc.)

  • Headcanons, ships, fanfiction stories, as long as it's explicitly stated that it isn't canon (outside of details the Author shared about the Character) and you don't force it to other people (Forcing people to believe that your personal interpretations are fact)

  • Doujin/con-produced merch for events in limited quantities
